Right in the middle of the Melbourne Chinatown is a traditional dimsum restaurant that has served generations of Chinese customers.
Dragon Boat serves traditional Cantonese dimsum in the morning and lunch hours and then switched to Cantonese fare in the evening. Because of the excellent produce, the dimsum in Australia can be better than Hong Kong, especially most of the dimsum chefs were from Hong Kong in the first place.
We selected some standard choices of dim sums from the trolleys.
The shrimp dumplings were excellent, large succulent shrimp in a thin rice dumpling skin. We had three persons and they came exactly three pieces for most items. Sometime I wonder why it has to be three, when most of the tables are four seaters.
Overall, the dimsum has been good, service prompt and price reasonable.
