My Favourite City – Hong Kong

Hong Kong remains my favourite city in the world. Good food, convenience, always something going on are some of the reasons why I like HK. You just have to admire the tenacity of the people of HK, being able to squeeze so many things within so lttle sq.ft, it never fails to amaze me.

I used to stay in a 400 sq.ft. apartment in HK during my tour of duty in that city, and within this tiny little space (I wished I have taken photos of the place) housed a living room big enough for a 2-door fridge and a 3-seater sofa with a mahjong table with room to spare for a small cabinet. And a kitchen, a bathroom and 2 bedrooms (one with a queen size bed and a full size 2-door wardrobe, and a double-deck with a window ledge doubled as a study table). The only saving grace, a full-view window on one side of the apartment that overlooked Victoria Harbour on the Kowloon side. We got to see the fireworks right from my living room.
