J: Nothing beats what Mom’s can do with simple ingredients. Her Ngoh Hiang still the best. Plus the Braised Duck. Hope the SILs have learnt Mom’s recipes.

Hence, my weekends and free time are sometime spent tinkering in the kitchen, trying to recreate Mom’s perennial favorites. And as part of the process, trying to document the ingredients and amount as Mom’s measurement is always superlative based (eg a little, enough to taste, etc).
