I started going to Mitsui in Taipei almost 20 years ago, when they only had a humble shop in Nong An Street. Since then, they have expanded to 3 high-end restaurants (under the Mitsui brand), a sushi restaurant, a casual eatery and a fish market Tsukiji experience. Trésors de la Mer is their latest foray into the mid-market Japanese Izakaya offering.
Located along side the traditional Taipei Fish Market, Tresors de la Mer takes its seafood from the sister shop, Addiction Aquatic Development (AAD). AAD sells fresh seafood for retail as well as distribute to other restaurants in Mitsui group and other restaurants.
And the cuisine is mainly Japanese, with a few Taiwanese specials thrown in.
