Gordon Ramsay Burger @ Las Vegas

After all the fine dining in Las Vegas, I was craving for something simple like a burger, and Darling wants a gourmet salad. As a compromise, we settled for Gordon Ramsay.

Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, focuses on traditional burgers, fries and milkshakes, with an extra special touch. The gourmet beef patties are cooked over an open flame using prime cuts of meat.

Hummus

red pepper coulis, veggie sticks, flatbread, papadum

This is not the traditional Middle-Eastern hummus – the Americanised version is more like dip. But I like this bastardised version because it has more flavours and suit the Asian tastebuds better. Came with an assortment of items for you to dip into the hummus. My favourite was the flatbread, warm and fluffy and delicious with the rich hummus.

Hellfire Chicken Salad

grilled chicken skewers, iceberg, butter lettuce, marinated tomatoes, shaved carrots, cucumbers, avocado, blue cheese, cheddar ranch, tangy hellfire sauce

Think thousand island sauce with sriracha chilli, and crumbled American blue cheese for that strange, savoury taste. This is the type of salad that would be made in Chinese restaurant for that cold appetiser as a garnish. The chicken skewers were blah. But the salad was anything but blah.

Hell’s Kitchen Burger

All Gordon Ramsay’s burgers are very simple – good beef patty seasoned with nothing but salt and pepper. But it’s the construction of the final stack that can be a challenge.

Like this signature Hell’s Kitchen Burger that is served during lunch service in his signature steak and fine dining brand. The burger has the height of a typical GR burger, everything is stacked really high.

This burger is the staple fare in the Gordon Ramsay Burger restaurant.

I had to take out the avocado because the burger could not fit my mouth, and also I don’t like avocado.

Ramsay will frown if he sees me flatten his signature burger to something like a whopper. But what’s important is the flavours of the burger. Everything works well together, with the jalapeño replacing the pickles and the grilled tomato dismissing the need for ketchup.

Came with a side of truffle fries that came with ketchup and tartare sauce dips. Wow, I missed having tartare sauce as a condiment for chips.

Overall a good (but pricey) burger. There are many other burger joints in town, so they are in for some serious competition. GR Burger has to do something special in order to keep the high rollers coming.
