This is the conveyor belt sushi restaurant brought to you by Don Don Donki. I know your head is now buzzing with the theme song of the Japanese curio store.
We chanced upon this restaurant when we went to JEM in Jurong to run our errands. We walked into another Japanese washoku chain but were put off by the nonchalant attitude of the staff there. Then we noticed this brand new Kaitenzushi 回転寿司 (sushi conveyor belt) restaurant at the corner.
The place was industrial and had only a few patrons. I was suspecting they would be serving what they sell in Don Don Donkey.
The wasabi came in capsules. And for happy hour, they offered one-for-one highballs.
After you ordered on the touchscreen, the sushi would be sent to you on these sushi trains four plates at a time. Before you know it, you have over ordered.
It’s a walk-in and walk-out place. The food was ok, supermarket grade sushi and the price to match.
