I had one of the best job in the world, traveling the places and trying out new things. And due to the job nature, I could get fat very easily if not careful. The challenge was to avoid empty carbs or really worthless carbs and reserved them for the really worthy ones. Tokyo is the place to avoid if you are trying to lose weight.

Haneda Airport Duty Free

The shopping and eating did not end even when you arrived into the airport.

First stop before you go into Immigration, there’s a Edo Street that is on the second floor of Haneda. It has an array of good restaurants that offer ramen, oden, wagyu beef, Japanese curry rice, sushi, unagi and other sit-down restaurants. And around the corner was a tiny bakery called Ginza Kimuraya. Kimuraya’s anpan is an unchanging constant, in the ever-changing town of Ginza. Kimuraya is a bakery that shows that Ginza that loves tradition, and has been able to withstand the test of time, over several generations, without so much as a shudder.

And then you have those must-by Omiyage for your friends and family.
