There’s a strong French influence in the menu, but with a culturally diverse team back of house, you’ll find culinary traditions from South America, Italy and Korea making appearances as well.
Healthy choice: green smoothie bowl
My colleagues decided to play a trick on me by ordering this smoothie bowl while I was outside taking an urgent phone call. Very healthy and has detox properties, I just couldn’t stand that it’s green. Someone else finished it up.
Sharing plate: char-siu pork belly with pickled cauliflower
Piece de resistance. The belly was braised and smothered with char-siu sauce.
Sharing plate: calamari fritter
Fluffy crust, crispy and light, wrapped the calamari inside.
Mains: beef bulgogi sub topped with Monterey Jack cheddar
Special beetroot bun stuffed with Korean bulgogi beef with rocket lettuce. And to make it all bind together was the melted Monterey Jack cheddar. Sweet, savoury, umami, bitter all in one go. Served with a side of wedges and spicy aioli. Great lunch.
Located on Albert Road, on the ground level of The Emerald apartment building, this cafe and patisserie has achieved the perfect combination for success, with killer coffee, stylish interior design, meticulous presentation and most importantly, delicious food.
