Good Eats

Haidilao @ Clarke Quay

In this time of Covid-19, everyone is shying away from hotpot. So I am doing a flashback to simpler times when we can enjoy communal eating without any fear, and especially in Haidilao, where every meal is always pleasant and satisfying.

Haidilao feels like a restaurant from the future. There are iPad menus, wireless chargers built into every table, and a manicure station, just because. Bring friends and make sure to try the house specialties you won’t find elsewhere, like homemade fishballs stuffed with roe, and shrimp noodles (yes, noodles made of shrimp).

This Haidilao is in Clarke Quay (there are other locations around the city, too) – the first one in Singapore in the heart of the city’s nightlife, where there are more bars than bathrooms – and it’s open until 6am.
