Trattoria Fiore @ Tokyo

You would miss it if you are just rushing to the subway station opposite the Italian restaurant in the basement. It caught my eyes because the lunchtime crowd was picking out takeaways at the stairways.

Lunch special was really value for money. For ¥900, you get daily bread (which you can top up as many as you want) with special whipped butter, a soup, a salad and a main course. And they are all made ala minute, so the pasta is still hot and the salad freshly tossed and crunchy. The only thing to complain was the French onion soup I had for the lunch special was slightly watery. But the octopus jalapeño pasta was really delicious, the first time I had pasta done this way that only the Japanese knows how – wafu 和风 and Italiano in a single plate.

Very rustic and busy trattoria

I really enjoyed the lunch here, it was efficient, value-for-money and yummy. The quality is top notch and makes me what to try what they have to offer for dinner too.
