A grocery + A bistro = The Providore. The food seemed to come from the grocery than its kitchen.
The Providore Downtown Gallery is an exclusive offering from The Providore brand and also its flagship outlet in Singapore.
Designed with the intention of sharing good food in all its forms, the Downtown Gallery outlet creates an environment for people to enjoy and learn about wholesome and quality products in an inspiring place.
There’s a gym, a sandwich bar, a pantry store (I wouldn’t call this a supermarket, more like M&S), a kitchen store and a bistro in this location. Most of the food served in the bistro can be bought in the pantry store and assembled at home.
The coffee here was proper Australian type Long Black, and all their juices were freshly squeezed.
Grass-Fed Beef Burger
with provolone cheese, Frankie’s fine brine pickles, lettuce, tomato & sautéed onions, served with proper chips & chipotle mayo
I have plate envy when this came up. They sell the kit to assemble this burger at home, so I didn’t consider it. But it seemed delicious – will try next time.
Crab Linguini Pasta
Pastificio dei Campi pasta with sustainable spanner crab, sundried tomato, bird’s eye chili, fresh basil & extra virgin olive oil
This was a very light, under salted IMHO, and not very garlicky (which worried my GF for my breathe afterwards). It was not something I would order again.
Nice ambience and friendly staff, food was OK, but too pricey.
