Crazy Pizza Pop-Up @ The Capitol

For a limited time, Crazy Pizza brings its thin-crust pizzas and pizza-spinning performances to Singapore for the first time in a collaboration with Capitol Bistro.

Flavio Briatore is the Italian entrepreneur and former Formula 1 team manager who founded the luxury, entertainment-focused restaurant chain Crazy Pizza, known for its spinning dough, live DJs, and glamorous atmosphere in locations like London, NYC, and Monaco. Adding to the uniqueness is the Spinning Show, which started as a playful idea and has now become one of the brand’s most iconic moments.

As this was a pop-up, the menu was very limited in the appetiser section (only 4 items available), so we had to go back to the bistro’s menu to pick something. But it was a mistake. We should have stuck to the Crazy Pizza menu.

Caesar Salad

A classic mixed salad of Romaine lettuce, grilled chicken breast, crispy bacon, boiled eggs, anchovies, croutons, Caesar sauce and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was drowning in sauce, and everything still had the bite and crisp of a well executed salad.

Rustica

The buffalo mozzarella (Mozzarella di Bufala) is crafted with passion and tradition in Paestum, Italy, from rich water buffalo milk in farms surrounding the ancient Greek ruins. Creamy, rich, and irresistibly fresh — it binds the ingredients on this vegetarian pizza without overpowering any of them. It was so good, we couldn’t resist but order a second pizza.

At the heart of this journey lies the dough, available in both classic and whole-wheat versions, made with the fine flours of Molino Casillo, a Puglian company that represents the excellence of 100% Italian wheat. With only 0.03% yeast, these flours ensure lightness and high digestibility, without sacrificing the texture and aroma that make every bite a unique experience.

Pata Negra

Sometime the simplest things are the most memorable things that will give your tremendous joy. This simple pizza has only three ingredients, the homemade tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella and Pata Negra ham. And these ingredients worked so well together that I shed tears of joy eating the pizza.

Pata Negra (“black hoof”) refers to Spain’s prized Jamón Ibérico, made from the native Black Iberian pig, known for its dark hooves and rich, nutty cured ham with a melt-in-the-mouth texture, especially the premium Bellota grade (acorn-fed). It’s a luxury food item from the Iberian Peninsula, celebrated for its intense flavour, marbled fat, and lengthy curing process, representing the pinnacle of Spanish gastronomy.

It was so GOOOOOOODDDDDD. The pizzas were top-notch, and the topping were generous. The pop-up store was closed on 14 Dec 2025. Looking forward to eat it again in their locations in other countries. Perhaps, they would come back again to our sunny island soon…..
