Ho say liao, Singapore! It’s official – they’ve opened their first Singapore Shack at Jewel Changi Airport. Let the queueing begins!
Origins of the Shack
Shake Shack is a modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, flat-top beef dogs (no hormones or antibiotics – ever), frozen custard, crinkle cut fries, craft beer and more. Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers.
In 2004, a permanent kiosk opened in the park: Shake Shack was born. An instant neighborhood fixture, Shake Shack welcomed people from all over the city, country and world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics in a majestic setting. The rest, as they say, is burger history.
In addition to the Shack classics, they included a Singapore exclusive Pandan Shake, vanilla frozen custard blended with pandan, coconut, and topped with gula melaka crumble.
The patty’s Shack blend is freshly ground and 100% all-natural Angus beef – vegetarian fed, humanely raised and source verified, no hormones or antibiotics ever. All burgers are served on a non-GMO Martin’s Potato Roll.
Yes, they have beer

Meet ShackMeister Ale, otherwise known as the ShackBurger’s best friend. They collaborated with Brooklyn Brewery to create this stellar beer with its deep golden color, bright citrus aroma, slight bitterness and bready malt flavor. And they also provide house red and white wines (made exclusively for Shake Shack by Gotham Project).

I ordered takeaways one evening after a flight from China and craving for junk food. Princess wanted something for supper too. The takeaways were properly packed with boxes to prevent them from getting crushed.
- ShackBurger Cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, ShackSauce™.
- Shack-cago Dog Dragged through the garden with Rick’s Picks Shack relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt, mustard.
- Fries Crispy, crunchy, salty potato-y goodness!
I can now understand why is there a constant queue, the burger is delicious! I am sure they will expand to other locations soon.
