Duddell’s @ Hong Kong

Under a very Western sounding name came a very traditional Hong Kong roast poultry store.

From the people that gave you 22 Ships and Commissary, Duddell’s is a Michelin anointed restaurant that serves Cantonese fine dining in Shanghai Tang. Their first foray into the wild is a store in a foodcourt in HKIA? Have they gone mad? Nope, I think it’s brilliant.

The roasts – roast goose and suckling pig – were perfectly executed and the best in the whole HKIA. The soup was tasty, but not salty. This is one of the best meal to have in an airport, and trust me I have been to many airports. Not exactly cheap, the meal was around HKD 300 – hence the short queue you can see below.
