If they add a ‘S’ to the end of their name, their website will be mistaken for an anti-virus company. But So Pho is all about the delicious rice noodles from Vietnam.

“Pho”, pronounced as “fur”, means noodle soup in Vietnamese which is a famous street food from Vietnam consisting of broth made from beef bones and other secret ingredients, rice noodles (bánh phở), herbs, and meat (usually beef (phở bò), sometimes chicken (phở gà)).

Originated in the early 20th century (1900-1910) in northern Vietnam, and was popularized throughout the world by refugees after the Vietnam War, it is considered the national dish of Vietnam even though the North and South differentiate themselves by the noodle width, sweetness of broth, and choice of herbs.

The noodles were quite thick, almost like Chinese hor fun. My impression was that pho should be thinner. Everything else was alright but the broth did not stand out as outstanding.

Beyond just noodle soup and other authentic Vietnamese cuisine, the franchise offers popular Vietnamese street food in casual and contemporary settings at reasonable prices. Princess loved the snacks platter, I find the rice wraps a bit too thick.
Simple eats but I prefer Pho Street across the road.
