Jaleo is a Spanish tapas restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the East Side Tower in the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. High energy, beauty and culinary skill are only a few of the characteristics of this amazing eatery. Recently, for two meals in a eow, my palette was absolutely delighted with the flavors provided by the creations of José Andrés and Head Chef Luis Montesinos.
An open-fire paella grill in the center of the front dining room where the bar and high tops are located immediately grabs your attention and then you look at the menu and oh man, you are taking a seat in there.
Lunch Like a Spaniard
They ran a lunch special that included 3 course Spanish lunch at USD 25++ per person. You get to choose one of three choices for each course of an appetiser, a tapas and a main course.
Tichi’s Gazpacho, Classic Spanish chilled tomato soup with pipiranna
Croquetas de pollo, Traditional chicken fritters
Gambas al ajillo, classic tapas of shrimp sautéed with garlic
If that was not enough, you get to add a daily special paella for additional USD 7. For that day, I has a Vegetarian Paella with Iberico Ham.

Arroz a banda con gambas, Literally meaning ‘rice apart from shrimp, ‘ made with U-8 Gulf shrimp
Escalivada Catalana, Open fire-roasted red peppers, eggplant and sweet onions with sherry dressing
Chuleta asada, 20-oz grilled all natural, grass-fed, bone-in ribeye with tumbet of potato and peppers
