I love the CBD during the weekends; it’s easy to get parking and lot’s of food places to choose from. Here’s a nice little dessert place for your after-meal sugar fix.

Alice Boulangerie was born out of a love for French pastries and the whiff of fresh bakes wafting out along the streets of Paris. All the pastries and bakes are displayed on the counter located at the entrance, which they churn out fresh up to 5 batches a day.

- Acorn is made up of a chocolate acorn shell made with 70% dark chocolate that reveals a layer of chocolate mousse, yuzu crémeux, almond dacquoise, and almond walnut praline with salted caramel mousse;
- Cocoa Ananas is a combination of Manjari (64% chocolate) chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate sponge, salted crumble base, white chocolate shards, and pecan brownie is juxtaposed against an uplifting pineapple compote;
- Mushroom is a classic choux puff piped with smooth gula melaka chantilly cream and coconut diplomat cream complemented with gula melaka caramel;
- Pistachio Chocolate Croissant is one of their signature bi-coloured croissants and it’s difficult to choose between this or Peanut Butter & Jelly Croissant or Strawberry Cheese Croissant or Mixed Berries & Coconut Croissant.
Besides desserts, they also serve bistro-type dishes like pasta, burgers and steak frites. Judging but the quality of the desserts and croissants, their main courses shouldn’t be too far off.
